How can I find my AA fare codes?

How can I find my AA fare codes?
Hi, does anybody know how I can find the fare code for an existing reservation on American airlines?

If you e-mail the reservation details to yourself from the AA homepage, you’ll get an e-mail with fare codes for each segment.

Thanks a ton it worked! I guess I'll try it for British airways too as I couldn't find the fare code there either

Sure! There was supposedly some talk of including the codes on the web view, but this was determined to make too much sense, so they limited it to the e-mails. #goingforgreat

Sometimes you have the option to view receipt online which shows the fare codes.

Just plug the ticket number into prefunds.aa.com

When you pick your flight - and the final price comes up on the screen - click on "Details" under the flight number. It's right there. I just confirmed.

If you’re a bit more technically inclined, you could click “View Source” on the AA.com details page and it’ll show you the fare basis for each flight in the intinerary.

I really don't know why people go through all this trouble when prefunds will happily spit everything out for you.

Now, any idea how to find the actual fare construction? The thing that looks like this:

BWI AA CLT 167.44V7AIZNB1 AA BWI 77.21N0ALZNB3 USD 244.65 END ZP BWI CLT XT 18.35US 8.40ZP 11.20AY 7.50XF BWI4.50 CLT3.00

In the old days, that used to be printed on the ticket.

I would recommend using ITA matrix to get that info. You can specify a specific fare basis when you search, so you can duplicate an existing booking.
