AA to fly 787 Between ORD-CUN and DFW-CUN This Winter
I noticed that AA is adding a 787 to the winter schedule for ORD-CUN (sometimes 2x per day) and DFW-CUN (starting Dec 22, 1x per day). Might be a good upgrade opportunity on these flights as it is predominantly a leisure route.

The 788 is my least favorite long haul plane. Unfortunately, ORD is a 788 base. I try to fly other OW carriers long haul.

Better a 788 than a 738, IMO
Better aircraft selection: 788 over 738; 738 over 7M8 - until all the 737s become MSTC (More Sardines Throughout Coach), otherwise known as the StarKist, er Project Oasis, 737. Then it’s 788 by a mile. A mile and a half if they STC and apply a fix to immobilize the Zodes. |
And what aircraft will get subed in when the 788 needs those engines replaced :eek: that might be a surprise in the making. |

I deliberately tried one for a daytime LHR-ORD sector and it's a pretty absurd design failure. My "pairee" was an upgrade, I think, and either didn't seem to notice the jostling or didn't adjust his vigorous descent into the seat at all - I presumably should have bounced more when I did so...! |
