Routing Problem
I fly mostly PHL-LAS and PHL-PDX. I've been taking the afternoon 332 to LAX and connecting. On the way back, the daily 332 flight is at 8:20AM (last time I looked). I haven't been able to figure out a way to get to LAX early enough to connect, nor a flight that would be "last of the day" since they have red-eyes to PHL. Is there a way to catch this bird?

Don't understand. If you are willing to take an evening flight to LAX and spend the night there, you can just use multi-city search to get this on one PNR. With the overnight layover, there's no way to get this to fare out on a single fare, it's going to have to be multiple fares. If you are willing to fly Basic Economy, you will have to book as separate tickets because you can't combine Basic Economy fares on a single ticket unless it is a roundtrip routing. LAS has a potential alternative option as there is an early AM UA flight on LAS-LAX and UA/AA concourses are connected behind security at LAX. There's obviously some risk there as you would be on separate tickets and would not be protected if something happens with UA flight.

I haven't looked at eastbound fares, but the westbound fares in F are approximately $565 to PHX, $616 to LAS, and $1020 to LAX. So booking it as just an LAX-PHL trip would be prohibitively expensive. I like the plane, but not that much.
