Saw it linked off an AA page at some point in the past year or so. No idea other than I read what it was.

We just bought a new home in Orange County and used the AA HomeMiles program with SIRVA.

Same 2,000 AA miles for each $10,000 of purchase price deal, with no limit. Process was really easy, SIRVA contact was terrific to work with, and we were given an option of real estate companies to work with based on where we wanted to buy. We chose Coldwell-Banker and a local office assigned one of their top agents who turned out to be wonderful. We closed on May 25th and the correct (boat-load of) miles posted to my account this morning.

Thank you, politicians of Alaska, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Oregon, for, in your infinite knowledge, preventing me from earning miles for properties in those states. I'm so stupid that I'm not able to determine whether or not doing a transaction that will generate frequent-flyer miles is acceptable or not. So thank you for saving me from my stupidity and for decreeing that I may not earn miles. It's of course totally proper for government to make that kind of decision, rather than an individual.

Interestingly, the two programs have different exclusion states:
American Home Miles: To receive the award, customers must close their real estate transaction with a SIRVA-referred real estate agent. Due to state regulations, the award program is not allowed in AK, AL, AR, IA, KS, LA, MO, MS, OK, OR, TN.
Miles from home:AAdvantage® miles are not available for properties purchased or sold in the following states: Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon.
