unexpected surprise (upgraded; downgraded & compensated at gate)
 
Flew ROC-ORD today.

yesterday 5pm: received notification of update.
today 11am: 40 minutes before boarding, called up to gate, notified the plan was downgraded to CRJ with no F and given a $300 voucher.

Never had this happen before. Thanks AA.

This happened to me about a year ago, flying ORD-OMA. I think this is SOP when downgrading to a plane with no F but I could be wrong.

Been on downgraded plane before and never seen this happen before. nice touch.
