I had the exact same thing happen to me on a March 29th flight. Ugh. I also haven't received any notification from AA about this. Just noticed it on my account.

I just called them because I don't want a flight that early and was told "the flight was not cancelled. it was an advance schedule change." to which i responded, "but it's a different flight number and aircraft and time?" the EXP Agent did not seem very happy to switch me even though after prodding i got switched to the 2pm flight.

For anybody more aware of the technicalities of LAX ATC: why do we (nearly) always land on and depart from 24R/L instead of 25L/R?

Makes zero sense and Delta actually touted their move to the north end as a way to relieve delays 🙄

Why do people torture themselves like this when you take WN or JetSuiteX BUR-OAK 16x a day?

Looks like it now doesn’t return to 11-12 per day until September 1.

I noticed they'll deploy A319s and A321s though on some of the frequencies.

There are now the following 8 flights departing at least on weekdays from SFO (7 on Saturdays):

0600 (E75)
0800 (E75)
0915 (A319)
1030 (E75)
1210 (E75)
1430 (A319)
1700 (E75)
1815 (A321)

Really doesn’t bode well for late-night connections to Asia and Australia. I’m on the 6:15 in a few weeks and connecting to HKG with a fun 5h+ layover. Considering canceling and taking a later flight from SJC.

Also JFK-SFO seems to be down to 2x a day on Saturdays (at least this past Saturday) with the first flight at 11am.

Are you seeing Alaska flights pop up on paid routings? I checked a random midweek date in June and Alaska would have later departures SFO-LAX at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
