It appears there is/was an mx issue with the aircraft on it's previous flight, thus giving the delayed arrival to operate your outbound.

Anyone know what AA2214 (N819NN) on 6/8 was in maintenance for, last recorded flight prior was 6/5? Pure guess, but wondering if it was engine blade inspection, as each blade had a handwritten number on it. First delay was 10 minutes to get the plane over, as the prior departure was a bit late. This became a bad joke as every 15 minutes it delayed another 15 minutes until the plane arrived. Crew boards, expecting to board in 10-15 minutes, which passes, and another 20 minutes slip. MX after being in the shop overnight, can't turn the cabin lights on. Once on, screens don't come down for the safety video, more work, screens finally drop, at least we didn't have to go back to have someone sort that out. Ultimately, 2 hours late. They had the food cart out at DTW, sitting at DFW, we got nothing other than a false start boarding, then getting waved off.

As best as I could tell (missed the initial exchange), it centered around he was number 1 in line for take off, ATC had cleared him but he came back to the gate and she wasn't happy. I felt kind of bad for the guy, and honestly if the captain doesn't want to fly the plane, as inconvenient as that is, that works for me. Anyway, we got home 20 hours late via DFW and SNA.

so when I got to the gate for 184 LAX-JFK yesterday they had quite the spread out for customers as you'll see in the photo below, there is a basket with substantial sandwiches, there full full sized bottles of water, sodas, juices and chips as well. I had been in the FL, so it had already been picked over, but still lots of sandwiches left.

Probably took PX to nearest hospital. Cleveland Clinic is pretty far away unless they used Life Flight.

It was on the ground for over 6 hours. Probably need to get a new crew which came on the last DFW flight.

UA 2116 today
Looks like UA 2116 took off CLE-ORD and came right back in. Looks like a maintenance issue.
