Have flown on the 787 in PE from DFW-MAD after the conversion but before they started charging for the seats. In this case, they served PE food and handed out amenity kits. I'm looking for actual photos of the 77W PE and if any premium services will be offered as the crew gets trained closer to the actual launch date. They may start with only MCE amenities and then switch over to PE amenities closer to launch. Would be nice to know. PS: Also, what wine, beer and spirits are offered in MCE on the DFW-LHR flight? I can't find that information online anywhere.
Also, someone posted last week in this thread about their experience LAX-HKG in the PE seat on the 77W: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/29675345-post123.html and https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/29675579-post125.html
I cannot tell you for certain, but I am sure the beer/wine selection ex-DFW is similar to the domestic choices. I haven't been in MCE in almost 2 years, so that's a WAG. MCE "amenities" are seats with more legroom. That's about it. Until AA officially rolls out their announced MCE enhancements, which they are delaying from their "spring" launch.

Thanks for the pictures and info on the new PE section. I am booked JFK-LHR next week and it allowed me to book a seat in this section, i.e. row 16-19, which is labelled as MCE. I suppose they are not selling these seats as PE and using them as MCE for now?

Flew AA78 row 19 on Apr 22nd and, as I hadn't been on FT for a long time, had no idea that PE would be there. Was a significant improvement on MCE on what is a long overnight... but four across in the middle is a negative, double the chance of having to get up mid-flight to let someone out from the centre for bathroom breaks.
NIce to get when sold as economy. Not really much different from BA PE though....now if only AA had more of the non-stop routes I need to US from London, as flying twice (booked AA.com) in next two months on the ancient BA 747s.. and the exit row seats already booked out... ugh

I am row 18 on DFW-FRA on July 1st on an award ticket. AA says there is no way to upgrade to PE. Anyone know the true story on this? It sounded like the woman thought I was trying to upgrade to MC+, as she indicating it was the same cabin.

Did we ever actually decide which PE seat is best? Some folks like the bulkhead row due to the perception of extra room. I'd probably prefer non-bulkhead, so that I can stow things under the seat in front of me rather in the overhead bin. Also I wonder if foot traffic would use the bulkhead row to cut across to the other aisle.
Anyway, did we ever decide which seat is best?
