I fly round-trip to London every month. Most of the time it's on BA PE. The most recent trip was the first time AA offered PE on my route, so I decided to give AA a try.
AA's PE is FAR better than BA's PE. Better seat, better blanket & pillow, better service, better food, FAR better IFE.
BA still holds a few advantages over AA:
- More non-stop options from more cities
- You usually get a lot more EQDs by flying BA PE booked on BA
In the future, I'm probably gonna suffer on the BA nonstop, rather than take the AA connection. AA is a far better product, but still prefer non-stop sub-par (BA) product to a better product with a connection.

Does anyone know if the food choices in PE always include a vegetarian option, as in the picture of a menu upthread? I've found that the Y meals do, and would rather avoid a typically poor special meal if I can, but I don't want to end up with no food (flying LHR-DFW).

As far as I can tell, yes. For two of two flights I was on recently that was the case (beef filet vs tomato lasagna, and "seafood" stew vs gnocchi).
I didn't try the veg options, but both the beef and the fish stew (the only seafood in it was a white fish like cod) were quite good. I was pleasantly surprised.

we are flying aa across then ba return (unintended after having a bad experience with ba recently). Fingers crossed that PE PA gets it together. I used to DIG flying BA but after a cancelled flight for mechanical ( but thank you for being cautious) and losing a day of a business trip.... This is our first experience with PE. It's been coach or Business class. 16a and c going and 13 something coming back on BA. will make good notes for y'all

Bulk Head video screens placement photos
Nice forum. Found lots of good information. I was looking for photos of the video screens that would be used by those in PE middle bulkhead row 16 but could not find any. Can you point me in the right direction? The Mrs. and I are flying Dallas to Heathrow in late October. This is the first time for both of us going international and upgrading from coach. Checked out Seat Guru where it mentioned the seats we have sometimes can have extra traffic crossing over to the bathrooms, but from what I read from others, it didn't seem like a problem. Thank you in advance for any comments and help. ~TBG

The downside to this is you must stow it for takeoff an landing, which can often mean 20 minutes before touch down depending on routing and the whims of the flight crew.
