Cell phone blocker (at least in parts of each lounge).
Clear rules against noise and some enforcement of rules against noise. Even just signs saying, "Please keep noise to a level appropriate for a library" in some parts of each lounge.

According to airport sources, it is a high earner in terms of day pass sales from travelers (it used to drive high revenues from Priority Pass, too, but that is long gone). It was one of the top earners for awhile, but these days, the emphasis is on selling credit card memberships. Still, the GSO club is one of the popular system darlings especially thanks to the exceptional team there.

I am curious on why someone would need to even take a shower at the airport? My travel behavior has never warranted a shower during a connection or at my destination. I only fly domestically though, maybe international travellers would need the shower?

This year I flew OGG to LAX the flight leaves at 11PM and lands about 6AM. We had to check out of our hotel at 11AM so we were wernt the cleanest. From LAX we went to JFK, it was very nice to shower after the 5 hour flight and before our Transcon.

Fly a 12 hour flight, then come back and tell us you wouldn't like a shower before your next connection

While I agree with you, FCC wouldn't allow it.
In addition to what others have said, overnight TATL/TPAC/TCON flight and then straight to a business meeting.

The shower after an international flight is the single biggest benefit of AC membership. It makes you feel human again.

You ever returned a car at DFW in the summer? Pull up onto the blistering concrete ramp after a full day of work, get out, stand around while the roving agents on foot sign you out (I do not envy their jobs), hoof it into the car center, out the front, wait 15 minutes outside for a bus, possibly get on a couple wrong buses, ride 20 minutes on said bus with likely-broken AC, get off bus, drag your stuff up some stairs, go through security...yeah, I've taken many a shower after that.

The showers are a great feature ... I do not use them all that often. But after a long international flight, I feel so much better after a hot shower, the steam helps my sinuses and the hot water helps my back.
I think I have only used them a few times flying domestic ... one time I had someone spill a coke on me and I felt very sticky and a few times where I checked out of the hotel early and did a lot of walking during the day before heading to the airport ... I am sure whoever was sitting next to me on the flight appreciated it as well.
So far, the showers in London and SFO are my favorites.

I take a lot of redeye flights from the west coast to the east/central region to make a connection to the Caribbean/central America. That shower at the connection point early morning makes one feel human again. Heck, even being in pajamas on an overnight TATL flight and changing back into clothes just before landing makes one feel so much better upon arrival, even without a shower.

Also if you look at the corporate travel 100 (Top 100 companies by how much they spend on air travel), Corporate Travel 100: Business Travel News
IND also has major operations for a lot of companies on that list #23 Roche, #25 FedEx, #35 Raytheon, #38 UTC, #71 Lilly, #94 Salesforce. Not to mention having Cummins, Rolls-Royce, Anthem, and a plethora of other Japanese companies.
I just wonder where they would put the club....

More showers, its really better for the other passengers that have to sit by me when I have to go straight from an athletic event, practice, etc.
Recliners, more comfortable seating in general
Better Booze, much of the free stuff is garbage
