Interline Baggage - AA/ANA - Purchased through AA

Hey Guys - I purchased a ticket (SMF-LAX-NRT-TPE) the NRT-TPE sector is on ANA however the entire ticket was purchased on AA.com

I will have bags and it appears I will have limited time in NRT due to a schedule change. That said, will AA interline bags to destination (All sectors purchased on a single ticket from AA on 001 stock..)

Have never gone OW -> Alternate alliance previously in a single direction.

Thanks for any thoughts on this - want to know if I should push AA into alternate connections due to the schedule change or stay as is.

Have this on the return as well however have about 3 hours in NRT - but would like to not have to clear into Japan if possible.

AA has a baggage agreement with NH (source: ExpertFlyer)
So your bag will be checked through to its final destination

Of necessity, for one carrier to issue this itinerary as a single ticket, it must have an interline agreement with the onward carrier. Never an issue on a single ticket connection so long as the connection time does not exceed the onward carrier's maximum hold time. Obviously not your issue given the short connection.

I know ANA does a bit of flying for Delta out of Japan, as Delta has wound down their NRT hub, lacks a Japanese partner, and until recently had no real strong relationships with any major Asian carriers. But, it seems odd, given AA’s JV with Air Japan, that short of a unique destination, which TPE is not, they would sell tickets interlining with ANA.
