EQD: $19,494
EQM: 101,700
EQS: 69
I've been upgraded almost 100% of the time, but then again, I check availability of class before I book to optimize my flight. All of my travel has been domestic other than an end of year ORD-LAX-HKG RT, because i was short on miles, not EQDs.
I'm a little disappointed there's no other way to get CK status other than "individual EQD" spend. I'm in charge of our corporate travel policy, established a Business Extra account, and basically forced everyone to start flying AA and using the BizExtra account # thus resulting in more dollars for AA.

(and if those folks with the higher EQD totals are primarily buying first and/or business class tickets or are earning a large chunk of their EQDs by flying partner carriers – then they are largely irrelevant as far as upgrade priority competition is concerned)

I flew 84 segments this year on a paid coach ticket. I racked up the miles and EQDs on paid J TPAC flights (per policy). I'm 82/84 on domestic upgrades.

I know the upgrade priority for EXP is rolling YTD spend. I get that. That being said what happens to the priority come 1/1/18? Will it carry over? If not is everyone set to zero? If that's the case how are upgrades prioritized?

On 2/1/2018 AA will look at your spending from 2/1/2017 - 1/31/2018.
On 3/15/2018 AA will look at your spending from 3/15/2017 - 3/14/2018.
It doesn't zero out ever and it is what you spent the previous 365/366 days.

You should call up your AA account rep and say you're considering moving all your business to United because they are willing to give you Global Services status if you do it. If you influence enough spend AA will likely comp you CK, you just have to ask.

Eqd - $21,105
Eqm - 165,191
Eqs - 59
One short haul left. Mostly transcon and TATL from the west coast with a lot of paid F domestically and J (AAV discounted) TATL. Home base in RNO. Since a lot of the domestic segments I fly are 3.5 hrs+, i usually do paid F as the F cabins seem to be very full these days on flights like that. If I have a short haul, such as RNO-LAX I do Y and usually get an upgrade especially if its an E175. I feel bad for people based out of ORD, NYC, DFW when I see upgrade lists at those locations with 40+ people on it. I'll bet CKs don't get upgraded 50% of the time out of those locations.

Also, will AA add an additional counter to make it easy to track this, or will we be on our own to keep up to date?
