"Smart" J seat selection on 787
Hi all,
I'm currently on a 789, based on the seat map going to row 8 (with that row being two windows only), but I understand equipment swaps could always happen. It's important to me that I'm forward facing and so does it make sense to pick a seat# that is forward on a 788 (odd#, I believe) just in case there is an equipment swap?
Also, I know the airlines cannot state when an FAM is added, but when it happens is there a typical assignment for them (i.e. row 2, row 4 ) that should be avoided?

Avoid any forward-facing seat on the port (left) side of the aircraft - the rows that are on the same aisle as the flight deck door. Instead, select a seat on the starboard (right) aisle.
