MLG4 - anyone ever seen that as a rev upgrade priority code?
 
Does anyone know what priority that is? I would think this would be gold or platinum according to the VIP/UPG number scheme but that doesn't seem to make sense in this case.

A PLT member using miles+copay to upgrade.

(1=CK, 2=EXP, 3=PRO, 4=PLT, 5=GLD)

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. Is that something you can ask the gate agent for? I'm platinum when flying rev and have never been offered.

You can, but you can also ask a reservation agent to put you on the list in advance so it might clear sooner or even immediately.

Don't expect to be proactively offered, because it is a publicized feature of the AAdvantage program (with miles and copay charts) and you're supposed to initiate the request when you so choose.

Just did one of these for my sister yesterday. So long as there is open "C" inventory you can get a confirmed upgrade. Just call the Plat desk
