Seat map unavailable. Please check back. Error

Looking at AA64 JFK-ZRH on 12/26/17 and have been getting this error for the last few weeks. Go a day forward and backward in the schedule and get a seat map just fine. Also does not load on ExpertFlyer or other sources. Any ideas what could be going on here? Would like to select seats. Thanks in advance!

I get that now and then. Try to clear all your browser cache and see if that helps.

Thanks. Definitely not on my end, have tried to load on different sites/ different browsers. I haven't had a chance to call AA yet but suppose that is the next logical step.

Usually this is because they are expecting an equipment change, but they can't put the new map up until it's official. I have had this happen numerous times when booking flights and sometimes well afterward. The phone folks are usually of little or no assistance. You can go ahead and book the ticket and then check daily for your seat map in the days and weeks following... I once had booked a TA trip with connections for a client and it wasn't until a few days before trip that I could pick their seats for the last TA leg. But because of this tendency by AA during a time when so many planes are being retrofitted and swapped on and off routes, I make it a point to monitor my seat even after I have already selected and/or paid for it. There have been other occasions where an equipment swap has been made and they will never notify you of that. If you are picky like I am, you will be none too pleased if your carefully chosen MCE seats or your nice single (rare) pair of coach seats suddenly turns into something else entirely.

Have a similar error popping up on MMB - AA723 DUB-PHL on 12/18/17 and been getting 'Seat Map Unavailable. Please check back later' for the past week. Looks fine on Expert Flyer.

Any idea what may be wrong? Have tried clearing browser cache and rung AA in the UK - agent accessed my booking and couldn't see seat map too. Would appreciate any help!

Flight 2550 MIA-DFW 11/16/18 - seat map has been unavailable since I booked it a few days ago. Is this an indication that this may be a Max or Oasis? 😐

No, this is different and is completely an internet/browser/IT bug. I get this error all...the...time... now when using chrome from my work computer, but I can pull it up in IE just fine. Then later in the day IE will start showing the error so it's back to chrome which will work fine for a while, and so on.

Same here......Firefox only sometimes, but IE usually always works for me......just such a pain!

Been having the same issue with flight 919 (DFW-FLL) on March 1st, for several months now. Even though that same flight, has a seat map loaded and available for every other day, it does not for March 1st. Called in to care, and of course they said it may be because the flight is so far out, that it hasn't been loaded yet. If that were the case, I wouldn't think that all dates for that flight have a seat map available, and it's the same aircraft. Not to mention that the flight is under 90 days away. They currently have me in the bulkhead, and I am not keen on that.

Have you tried multiple browsers?

The seat map for that flight seems to be working today. You might want to try again.
