Why No Mobile BPs or TSA pre-check when Multi-Segment Trip to US Begins in Caribbean

I checked in online before leaving the Dominican Republic for my AA flight from STI-MIA. But the AA App didn't display mobile board passes for any of my 3 segments that day. The app instructed me to get boarding passes at the airport.

In the past I have always received mobile boarding passes for the 2nd and 3rd domestic legs, but sometimes the STI-MIA flight boarding pass doesn't show up, so no surprise on that one.

When I checked in at the STI airport I didn't have TSA precheck printed on my domestic leg boarding passes so when I arrived in Miami I had to go through the normal security line.

Does anyone know why I wouldn't receive my domestic segment mobile BPs when flying in from the Dominican Republic?

And why did I not get TSA pre-check on my BPs when I have every other time (I'm global entry)?

I suspect you might have to get your Boarding Pass reprinted in the US. The easy way to deal with that is to show your Global Entry card as your identification at the TSA check counter.

As to mobile boarding passes, not all airports support them. STI doesn't.

I always ask an agent at the Caribbean airport to reprint my onward BPs. They print with Pre-Check just as if I'd asked for them after getting to the U.S.

For me it hadn't always worked, it it's worth a try. My mobile B. P. and my GE card have been good backups.
