Tripmasters and EQD & EQM
We rarely use travel agents or tours, but book air through AA.com
We are considering using Tripmasters for a "new places to us" Asian trip in October, and a family trip to Israel for Christmas and New Years. If we book air through them, insist on OneWorld for intra-asia and AA and EL Al for Christmas, in J, will we receive the same (or any?) EQD and EQM as if we had booked on AA.com? Any experiences? Thank in advance. |
Have you asked tripmasters about it? It depends on the fare class and the fare type that they are using for your particular trip.

The source (Tripmasters) isn't important (unless they're selling certain consolidator or other fares that don't earn miles, etc.) The actual fare classes, marketing and operating airlines, determine whether you'll earn or not, etc. just as if you were buying on aa.com.
You can't earn EQD/EQM on El Al (unless flown as an AA codeshare), if that is available; you can flying on IB (their MAD-TLV aircraft are special A319s with a decent mid-haul Business Club class). |
