AA airport Fast Track questions (merged threads)
I was just browsing the list of airports that offer fast track to OW Emeralds, and Washington Reagan did not appear on that list. Is that an omission or is there really no fast track for this airport which is an important hub for AA/US?

You can use the priority security lines.

Thanks. Can I also take along my wife and 2 kids that have no status, or is there a limit as to how many "guests" one can take into the priority security lines? I am not familiar with the setup at US/AA.
And one more question: I assume all the security points do have priority lanes? Including the ones leading to gate 35X for commuter departures?
Thanks again for any insights.

I've only ever flown out of the concourse where Gates 23-34 are located and it seems to vary as to whether or not there is Priority AAccess. In any event, the queues have always been short and the airport itself is very nice with some good runway views and short walking distances.

It really doesn't matter much at DCA. The lines tend to be short, most of the people who were eligible for priority now have pre-check, so at most times of day, it will make a 3-5 minute difference whether you are in a priority line or not.

I may be misunderstanding your statement here...security lines at the legacy US checkpoint often back up out of the roped off area and spill into the concourse...I see them from the US lounge above. This is on any weekday morning. It would be a lot more than a 3-5 minute difference between being in the regular security line and priority.

I've done my fair share of flying out of DCA, and didn't know there was a "priority security lane". There's Pre, of course, and I'm thankful for that, but I've never seen anything else there in the US/AA piers.

Fast track for OWE at DCA?
Which then begs the question: do "priority" passengers also use the Pre lane if there is no other dedicated priority lane? Presumably not?

The two have nothing to do with each other. Priority simply means that you may or may not get to the front of the line faster. But, it has nothing to do with the level of security to which you are subjected and it is not policed by TSA.
Access to Pre-check is for those with pre-check and who are selected for it (have pre-check on their BP's).
If the priority lane is closed, you wait with the masses.
