Thanks for the gate rules LBJ. Does that mean on a SDFC, when one is originally on this date, that you can't switch to the 77W?
|
One should also note that on the MIA-LAX route, for months AA has only been selling refundable tickets for J/F class on the 32B and 77W. Anyone know why they would do that?

So they can charge more for equipment but equipment type is not guaranteed?

The cheaper "instant upgrade" business class fares have a rule

Looking to go LAX-MIA nonstop in the fall. Probably will pay $$ for J tickets. Most of the flights are $1,300 for the 32B Airbus A321. The 777 flights are $650 more.
For more experienced AA cash flyers, is that $650 increase common? And coach seats are $539 on either aircraft, with no increase for the 777. Is THAT common too? And yes, AA often charges more for premium classes on a three class nonstop JFK - LAX and SFO, or two or three class with premium (lie flat) LAX-MIA than the usual two class (many with one stop) trip. But sometimes there are exceptions and bargains, and sometimes people do apply for and receive price differences when equipment changes occur (as posted by BThumme). That can vary with the detailed fare rules, etc. |
