Separate tickets as shown above, all departing same day.

I'm aware that on either end of LAX-JFK I get access to FFD (and Qantas F lounge at LAX). Should I get FFD at DFW and FL/check-in at ORD with my same day boarding pass from LAX-JFK? From what I can tell the rules say yes but what is practical?
