I have definitely been let into Fast Track immigration at LHR T3 without an invitation as an EXP, even in economy. Maybe a quite recent policy change? That being said, more times than not, the "slow" line is actually marginally faster. The Fast Track usually only has somewhere between 2-5 agents manning it, and the "slow" one has a lot more, at least in the mornings. Point being--they're both slow. For people that travel to the UK frequently (or live here, like I do), Registered Traveller is a GREAT option, although not cheap.

Exactly why I have a few extra fast track cards on hand. Come in handy when you don't get one for whatever reason.

I wonder if they will take the old pink jackets. I have a stash of those as well

Having some spares will work for a time, but one will run out, so I hope that they will modify the policy to allow premium cabin to use the lane based on BP.

Cheers.

Would it be weird to have a United fast pass while coming off an AA flight?

If you cross the UK border many times a year, the solution is to forget Fast Track and sign up for https://www.gov.uk/registered-traveller. It's wonderful.

I had a EP friend that flew into LHR in April in J, who had to ask for a fast track pass and was reluctantly given one.

Fast Track cards were handed out to everyone in F on 100 from JFK at the end of March.

I never bothered with those passes. Always entered the Fast Track immigration lane by flashing the emerald status on my boarding pass. This worked as recently as 10 days ago.

Has anyone communicated with Customer Service or the AA twitter team to see if this is a new policy or just a few isolated instances?

I kept ours, too

But we were not asked for them in April; just showed our business-class boarding passes.

I did this with the invite from CBP. It’s ok, but not price competitive with GE/Nexus in the US. But it’s good if FastTrack for some reason isn’t granted.

I have not had that happen since I enrolled and completed my registration at LHR. In March this year I was in coach as an EXP and I was waved thru FT without one of those hot pink/red jackets.

OP says he did, but I'd say more people should.

I'm not so sure there has been a general policy change. I just arrived on AA136 (LAX-LHR) yesterday (in J) and received a fast track immigration pass as usual.

Had exact same experience recently on a JFK-LHR flight. No Fast Track cards handed out. Unfortunately once you get to T3 Fast Track entrance they are pretty adamant no card, no entry. Showing them the BP doesn't matter. Took 45 minutes to clear customs. Really frustrating.
