Favorite economy seats with AA Flight number when traveling NYC to HKG

I will be flying from NYC to HKG a number of times the next 6 months. I am looking to also gain maximum AA EQM's so it will be on routes that have an eye to AA flight numbers. Cathay, JAL, AA are some obvious ones. Basically what makes this long trip the most comfortable.

The AA codeshares on CX/JL, where available, are often significantly more expensive than booking as CX/JL flights. You might be best off sticking to AA-operated flights, which means going via DFW or LAX on the 77W. As long as you can get Main Cabin Extra it should be okay.

Of course you could also just pay for premium economy on the CX nonstops, that would certainly be much more comfortable, and you'll earn 1.5x EQMs. You'll also earn ~3,200 EQDs when they kick in next year (20-22% of miles), which is likely more than the ticket will cost (~$2k usually)

Agreed that although CX/JL are much more comfortable for economy class, if EQM's are a priority for you then your probably best off sticking to AA-operated flights. I looked into this and the best (+ cheapest) option would be flying from LGA via DFW. Also, flying out of LGA as opposed to JFK definitely has perks.
