Good Afternoon!

I did a few searches, but the thread I wanted to bump was closed from the old AA forum. I'm normally a DL flyer these days (note: QF status in my profile expired) -- Anyways

1) I have a codeshare flight on JAL next week ex-NRT. Flight was sold to me with an AA coded flight #. JAL will not allow advance seat assignment due to my fare class and I am dreading the middle seat.

When I called JAL, agent explained I can check-in 72 hours prior via a link from AA's website (?) -- I'm not quite sure that is actually the case. How can I check-in at 72 hrs to hopefully secure a decent seat?

Also, anyone know what satellite WiFi JAL uses on 787 and cost?

2) I have a somewhat short connection in DFW. I arrive 11:51am on an American Eagle flight op by Mesa. I then depart on AA 61 to NRT at 1:05pm. I presume all will be well if on-schedule with 1 hour 14 minutes (?) If I miss, any other same day options to reach BKK?

3) AA 61 appears to be a low J ship, meaning 3 x 4 x 3 in MCE. Never done 10 across in a 777, how is it and how much extra room do you really get?

Re WiFi, what type of system does AA have on the low J 772 (Panasonic or T-Mobile) and how is it TPAC? How does it compare to Delta's satellite based GoGo?

4) My return is from Australia on a QF flight, but AA coded. It's an early AM arrival @ LAX. Do I clear customs at TBIT or T4? Last time I took same QF flight, we docked at TBIT but we were sent to CBP FIS at T4 via a secure connector (was a lot of construction at time).

If TBIT, how long should it take at like 6:30am to clear FIS? I connect onto AA110 which is a 787 to ORD - appears its a tag on from GRU-LAX going on to ORD. I looked it up and it said gate 155, which sounds like a TBIT gate. Do I re-enter at T4 or TBIT -- and if I need onward BPs, TBIT or T4?

Haven't flown AA in awhile, looking forward to it.
