SWU Advice
Hi. I'm flying r/t to HKG with my wife(no status) in Dec. SWU on the outbound cleared at booking, and we're waitlisted on the return. We're flying back HKG-LAX-JFK. Right now, 192 is J7 C1. Should I split the res to get my wife confirmed in J on 192, but she'll lose priority for the upgrade on the redeye from to JFK. Also, will it impact AAs willingness to rebook us on CX if 192 is delayed? What do you recommend?

I usually take UA to HKG but due to a mechanical delay, was rebooked onto AA193 LAX-HKG.
Maybe it's just the 1:55am departure time but for economy, the meals were a nice change compared to what I get on United.

I was on AA126 on 11/3 and had previously received a note that the meals were not going to be up to par. I had a seat in MCE, was hoping for a miles upgrade (which I didn't receive - missed by 1!), and the meals were ok. Standard fair. I don't do enough international to know whether they food was good/bad/otherwise. Then I received a $100 flight voucher credit via email after the fact apologizing for the food quality. While I didn't think it was that big a deal, apparently AA did.

Anyone Else from FT on Tonight's Flight (Nov 14 2017)?
I'll be at the QF F Lounge from 7:00 PM until we need to leave for boarding. Stop by and say hi, if you're around. Probably be at the bar wearing an orange shirt..

Quick question: Are the AA counters for in-town checkin operating 24 hours?
I'm arriving in HKG on the 17th for a night's stay, and leaving on 192 the evening after.
Would I be able to deposit luggage etc on the 17th evening, and head into town without the extra bulk?
Normally wouldn't do this but HKG has atrocious left luggage rates.
Also able to guest +1 into Pier F for the 18th.
