This AM at LGA-D I was in the bar area watching the planes while I worked and I had one of the contract/foodservice workers come up to me proactively with a tray of pastries that you don't normally find in the mornings. The were pain au chocolate and other higher end breakfast pastries. Nice touch!

Had another meal at the JFK Flagship Dining with the new menu. For this one I got the Crab Cakes, Onion Tart and the Duck entree. While I did order a desert, I sent it back as the custard of the Creme Brűlée was not set and mostly runny.

All Day Menu

Crab Cakes

Onion Tart

Duck

Deserts

How was it? The crab cakes look ok, but the rest really doesn't look very delicious. But sometimes looks are deceiving!

Are you supposed to eat the flower petals served with the onion tart?

Just got an email indicating the following:

Soon, we'll introduce complimentary made-to-order avocado toast stations inside select clubs. The offering will be available every morning, and you'll be able to add toppings like tomatoes, prosciutto and smoked salmon. Stations will roll out first in Charlotte (CLT), Washington Reagan (DCA), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Phoenix (PHX) and Philadelphia (PHL).

This will have absolutely no impact on my opinion of the Admirals Club.

Agreed. Made-to-order anything is just too much of a hassle. I'd be much happier if they just put out a couple buckets of warm slop (see BA biz lounges, etc.) and called it a day.

The avocado toast is nice addition to the AC, but I was more surprised to read in the AC Newsletter that BOS' B4 AC is going to close for renovations next month. IMO, the B4 AC is much nicer than the B30 AC.

Adding showers among other things. B30 AC is scheduled to close permanently afterwards when AA moves out for WN & AS at the high number BOS gates.

What is the limit on well drinks with AC in terms of mixed drinks/cocktails? Whenever I'm in a club I usually get a rum and coke.. but will they make simple mixed drinks such as a mojito or daiquiri (just examples), or will they consider these as premium drinks and charge a fee? I can't seem to find an answer on this... so I apologize if this has been asked and answered.

New to FT.. long time reader, decided to register for an account and join in!

Thanks!

They'll go until they have to scrape you off the floor.

Oh, you mean the limit in terms of the composition? Probably a function of the boredom/niceness level of the bartender and/or your tip. For something fairly straightforward (a couple mixers, e.g. Tequila Sunrise) I wouldn't think that anyone would really say no. For more complicated stuff, maybe. I think it's highly YMMV.

Welcome to FT!
