Good thing no one's overreacting to this news. I'm sure that there is no one else in the United States who can do a competent job as head of AAdvantage.

Agree to a large degree, but I do strongly feel that we/AA are losing one of the very best folks they had. And I know of what I speak.

Warmest and sincerely thanks to Suzanne R. and cheers to a wonderful future!

Competent? Of course there are. But I'm not betting on it with DP in charge.

Speaking of overreaction "no one else in the US"

Also, competency is relative.

Jeff Robertson might be available. He's apparently no longer working for DL.

It is not about competency. It is about attitude and actual understanding of and connection to your clientele.

SR had it. Not sure her replacement will.

I believe she was in charge of AAdvantage when it moved to BIS only, redemption price increases, and now, a move to revenue based. Plus, all the other cuts we all know.

She only brought disappointments. Good to see her go. Hopefully the replacement will be better for members.

The market forces and corporate objectives that Rubin worked under won't be going anywhere. One could argue that she did a better job at preserving value for members than most would've done under the circumstances (cf. Delta)

Isn't he in jail with his mentor, Bernie Madof?

Not to mention that the person who was in charge of Dividend Miles (from 2007 until it merged with AAdvantage) is still with AA and located in the DFW area @:-)

To say the least.
