Was poking around the AA website and found mention of LAX-HKG starting 9/7 with the 777-300ER. Took a screenshot in case it gets taken down. I didnt see an announcement about it, so I guess it's coming soon.

I've updated the thread title slightly to account our international readers. ;)

Doesn't seem bookable yet (also not loaded on EF)...but this is exciting!

(I think it's funny that on the webpage they repeatedly called Hong Kong "HGK" as you scroll down...:D)

Goes along with LRH and DWF, two common airport code transpositions here on FT. ;)

It also lists LAX-KIX... but that's the JL code-share, right? That's not a new as-yet-unannounced routed, is it?

It would be an odd route addition for AA. But there is also no ORD-NRT in that listing either.

Might be an unannounced route? This is exciting.

Is this daily?

I'd expect so, dfw is daily. Or so they claim.

Website no longer shows that. Maybe the web team jumped the gun.

finally looks like this will get announced. It has had 3 different dates (I think it is 3) at AA and each time it has been pulled.

Will be interesting to see what the final HKG arrival/departure times are. And long term if AA is able to compete vs CX.

No. Very sure that AA would not enter since JAL just started this route, about a year ago.

According to the 77W scheduling, the second MIA-LHR-MIA 77W frequency is scheduled to end September 6/September 7 respectively. Makes sense if the service starts September 7.
