FWIW, I asked Admirals Club Member Services the following:
"I know that Cathay Pacific has a special arrangement with AA to allow its First Class passengers traveling either to Vancouver or Hong Kong access to Flagship First Dining at JFK.
My question is...when traveling MIA-JFK/ORD-HKG in First Class on Cathay Pacific, would I have access to Flagship First Dining in MIAMI when it opens? Or is the arrangement with Cathay Pacific limited specifically to access at the JFK facility?"
The response from them was:
"Thank you for contacting Admirals Club Member Services. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.
You would have access to the Flagship lounge, but not the Flagship First Dining.
Best regards,
XXXX

Really? That seems illogical to me. To the OP: make sure that you try to book your connections through JFK, then, as ORD does not have the dining option (which I guess makes sense as the only remaining flights with F class out of ORD are the occasional flights to LHR depending on the time of year).

Cathay Pacific does not fly to MIA, so it makes perfect sense that passengers connecting at JFK or ORD to HKG would only have access at MIA to the Flagship Lounge per the OneWorld rules.
Also, the other reason to connect at JFK instead of ORD is that at JFK AA ant CX both operate out of Terminal 8. At ORD, you'll have to take the train from T3 to T5 and re-clear security. And while you wait, you'll have to do so in the largely mediocre lounges at ORD T5.

I believe there is an airside shuttle that now runs from T3 to T5 that is inclusive of all OW airlines.

Just passed LAX T4. Construction cover is down revealing the standard AC/FL sign outside with all the trimmings. You can see the check-in desks inside. They can't be more than a day or two away from opening. Very good news...this T5 club could use a remodel of its own!

At ORD, take the T3 to T5 bus. Really easy. But, boy the T5 lounges suck.

I do not do much domestic flying, and I have never connected through MIA.
My gf and I are flying through MIA next week to Aruba.
I know my EXP status doesn’t get Lounge access but I do have two free admittance coupons to the AC.
I’m wondering if there is an AC @ MIA that offers full breakfast? The only AA Lounge I’ve ever been in is the First Class Lounge @ LHR T3.
Am am I confusing lounges with AC’s?
Or, is our best option grabbing some free food at Corona Beach House with my Priority Pass membership?

Really? T5 has been refreshed and it's up to par with any standard AC, IMO. It's just been crowded while T4 is being renovated.

It's not the worst, but the tile and carpet aren't new AC standard. The furniture and some of the walls and wooden dividers are. It seems like it was a very fast remodel, which it was. I'm not sure what AA's long term plans are for T5 so it is understandable that they don't want to sink too much money into it right now.
