Booking problem on AA when paying with a different currency?
I had two tickets on hold and they were quoted in different currency (CAD and BRL). However, when I went to pay it said that the price will be changed and then it goes to a page that says aa is down for maintenance.
Has this happened to anyone? If I have a ticket on hold, I should be able to pay that price if it wasn't an error fare right? Or will they penalize me/make me pay more if I am paying with an US cc? http://i.imgur.com/Rt2jgHb.png |
I've had the issue many times. You need to call to get it ticketed if it was held in a foreign currency. Just confirm that you want to be billed in that currency and it shouldn't be an issue.

I didn't think you could book it in anything BUT the currency of your credit card.
For years I have been booking tickets (WITH HASSLE) at AA.com, and always had to make sure I checked on the system to change its ticketing location to CANADA. If I didn't the payment would never be processed. I think it verified with a ZIP code or something. Anyhow over the years I have just made sure to change the country link in the top right corner of AA.com before I even start the booking process. |
