LAX-JFK first class flagship check in use?
If I'm flying in F in LAX-JFK with no bags to check, boarding pass already on my phone with TSA pre check, then is flagship checkin essentially redundant for me?

There's an elevator that puts you right at the head of the security line. Less walking involved, don't have to interact with a sometimes-surly line guard at the bottom of the escalator.

Unless the security queue is miles long or you are cutting it fine then Flagship check-in is a waste of time
I've used it at JFK and felt really awkward being shunted to the front of a very short security queue by a pretty aggressive employee pushing everyone else out of the way
If I'm eligible I usually check how long the queue is then head back to use it if the queue is of a decent length

When I was CK, I used the check in at LAX and JFK every month. Rarely was this an advantage - indeed , it actually slowed me down. The wait is very short at both LAX and JFK if pre-check and only occasionally did I save time. But it was much more relaxing, and I would enjoy the escort in LAX by the doorman (Tony and Alex usually). I do like the privacy that is offered and the inability of the paparazzi to photograph you once you've gone in the outside entrances, but that's about it.
Second, if you are checking in with a lot of bags, then it is a better option because of the baggage handling and the lower amount of people. Third, in the off change the line upstairs is long, the line cutting it provides is great.
If given the opportunity, I would do it.
