This DCA flyer is interested in the LAX-ANC schedules. I wanted to get up to Alaska this summer, but the one-stop schedules through PHX were awful (layovers of 40 minutes or 10 hours, more or less). Here's hoping the LAX-ANC flights connect better with DCA-LAX, at least in one direction.

Interesting the section in the release about Flagship check-in suggests they are expanding eligibility: "Elite and First Class customers can enjoy Flagship® Check-In, American’s private, dedicated VIP check-in facility at LAX."
I didn't think all Elite and First Class customers could use Flagship check-in

Finally, I am so happy to have AA metal from SEA to LAX. Now I can have the potential to be upgraded vs just having Exit Row on AS metal. Good news.
The press release didn't say when the new service will start. Does anyone know when this route will start?

Potential to be upgraded? Maybe technically on the A319s, but not likely with only 8 F seats.
