Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

Isn't PDB the norm? If so, then why are folks posting when they received PDB? Or has it become so uncommon that it's not the norm?
1/24 ORD-LAX, no PDB whatsoever. Flight was 20 min delayed but boarding was as usual.

pmUS does full PDB almost all the time.
pmAA does fill PDB sometimes, partial PDB sometimes and no PDB sometimes. While people have different experiences, AA serves NO PDB at a high enough rate that people note it.

In my experience full PDB on pmAA flights is about 50%, maybe less. (I did not get one on one of my pmAA flight last week.) pmUS flights I get well above 90%; (I don't remember the last time I did not get one on a pmUS flight.)

AA is not like DL or UA where full PDB is automatic.

EWR-PHX 738 with AVOD and full PDB cheerfully offered and we got straws instead of those sticks

PHX-ORD 788 water/OJ offered but my white wine request was happily accommodated.

ORD-LGA and nothing....such consistency. I made a comment you guys dont do drinks on the ground anymore?

1/28 AA 2384 ORD-BOS A-321(AVOD): Initially, no PDB, but when de-icing took awhile the FAs did come around. Honestly, I wish we saw more of the PMAA A321s in BOS, bigger F cabin, AVOD, and IME decent internet connectivity.

1/28 AA 2755 SEA-DFW LAA a321 no PDB, very friendly crew. There was just not enough time. We pushed back as soon as last passenger boarded.

1/28 AA1294 DFW-ORD 787-8 delayed by one hour due to weather in ORD. GA made an announcement that we will be sitting on tarmac for an hour or so. As soon as we walk into the plane FAs are looking pissed and instead of hello, they start telling everyone that plane will be delayed and we will not get any service and no water will be provided. Obviously sitting for 1 hour with open door doesnt give them time to serve PDB! Also during boarding they made announcement 4 times that nothing will be served until after take off! So they were just chatting for 40 min after boarding was complete. Oh and also classic FAs are for your safety only announcement was made. Good thing about that flight that it was catered with pillows, blankets and slippers ( I guess plane was heading to China originally).

US hubs always, AA hubs come in waves it seems. Many flights with PDB followed by many without. So full PDB on ORD-DCA impressive sometimes.

I think the party line goes something like: "door isn't closed, so we're not getting paid, hence no service;" a line which has been litigated over many threads here. It's on in-flight services leadership to reinforce company policy: serve PDBs and when PDBs cannot be provided for "operational" reasons during boarding, PDBs should must be provided during protracted ground delays. I completely agree with you though: it's not that hard to walk down the aisles with some Dasani bottles at the very least. That one is really on the flight lead.

1/23 DTW-CLT 2192: Full PDB, as seen while boarding late. Snagged last seat, a middle in coach, but was just glad to get out of DTW after three previous cancellations.
1/23 CLT-ORD 1883: Full PDB, and basket o' carbs passed around during lengthy delay

1/25 ORD-OMA 3260: Full PDB
1/26 OMA-ORD 3338: Full PDB

1/27 ORD-DFW 2300 (788): Kindergarten Tray. Seems to be standard on the widebody domestics these days. Happy to get out of ORD ahead of the storm, even though it added a night and and extra leg to the trip I had originally scheduled for 1/28.
1/27 DFW-PHX 1890: Not sure - got upgraded after boarding was complete, didn't notice any evidence of PDB.
1/28 PHX-STS 5768: Full PDB

One cannot have a PRE-Departure-Beverage, after being airborne (aka POST departure).
