I was able to receive the exact language of the company policy from American Airlines today via Twitter regarding PDB's. I was actually quite impressed they followed up with me regarding a conversation that started a few days ago. I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.
...
So there you have it.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG No #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Full #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed
This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

Two for two tonight. Don’t ask about the routing, LOL. What a mess tonight due to weather in NYC, DC, and MIA. Currently enjoying my Two Buck Chuck Vino blanco. Side note, the A321s make the B738s seem downright luxurious. Sheesh. #GoingForGreat

PDB.... I thought that these had faded into urban legend. I can’t recall the last pdb on AA or UA. I must be traveling the wrong segments.

Unless you were on CRJ200, or sitting in Y, then you got a PDB on UA. I had about ten segments on UA in July, 100% for PDB. If you scroll back through the thread, you'll see that PDBs are generally lacking from PMAA crews. If you're chicago-based, then I can see where the confusion lies...

Just got back from a trip to Vegas. Had a blast, but missed out on the first PDB for the legs in business/first.
YYZ-DFW in Business (MD80): No PDB. That makes it 0/2 on this route for me.
DFW-LAS: (A321) Full PDB
LAS-PHX: (A321) Full PDB
Buffalo is my primary Airport, does anyone have experience with getting a PDB while in Business out of Toronto?

AA 1360
ORD->BOS
B738
Nada...
AA 2687
BOS->CLT
B738

But AA did manage to swap out my connecting flight in CLT to make it perhaps the only flight departing on time...which I will miss...

CLT->RIC
CRJ9
Full PDB!
And thrilled to make it out on this flight, given that all the subsequent flights to RIC from CLT were delayed. Service was fine in flight. CLT based crews continue to be my favorites. Still, I've got some DL flights coming up, which I'm looking forward to. AA IRROPS this summer has quickly reached B6 level of shambolic. And PDBs do not make up for that.

I don’t know which is funnier, being unequivocally advised whether I did or didn’t have a pdb, assuming that it’s the PMAAs, that I’m confused about something, or the people that ‘liked’ the comments.
If this is a private discussion, sorry for intruding.
