I was able to receive the exact language of the company policy from American Airlines today via Twitter regarding PDB's. I was actually quite impressed they followed up with me regarding a conversation that started a few days ago. I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

So there you have it.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed
This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

AA 5875 today PHX-MEM on a CR9. No PDB. Also no coats hung up. Was told "we don't have a closet available on this flight" despite multiple pax sitting with coats on their lap. I finally got up and hung my own coat in the closet, which was partially filled with crew bags. FA couldn't be bothered to pass the snack basket through 3 rows, just placed it on the bulkhead closet. Once the FA disappeared to the rear of the plane for 30 min, I passed the snack basket around, including the first few rows of coach.

2/16 jfk-las PDB [this flt had a planned diversion to MSP for refueling], due to the extra 90 minutes to get to LAS, each seat pocket had 2 liter bottles of water.
VERY efficient FA for fc, the snack basket was offered several times, plus drink orders were very frequent.^

LOVE IT. Perfect response. ".........cause great is what we're going for".
And AA has the nerve to solicit votes for itself so it can "land a win in the Freddie Awards".

well, technically it was Mesa Airlines. Usually much better than AA, but just not this time.
