3/5/2015 - plane skids off runway at LGA

To enhance delays at LGA, a DL jet (Flt 1086) just skidded off a runway.

edit - a photo in the NYPOST.com website indicates the plane came to rest on top of the berm at the end of Runway 13. Without it, the plane most certainly would have ended up teetering over the end of the runway or into Flushing Bay.

From a post on the DL thread covering this incident, it appears LGA is closed until 700pm this evening.

I got nailed with a 'proactive' cancellation yesterday. They wanted to cancel SMF-DFW today, March 5. (Reduces air traffic into DFW as they anticipate WX) So they ALSO cancelled DFW-SMF yesterday evening (that flight stays overnight and turns into the AM return to DFW...)

Id been upgraded from east coast back to SMF via DFW.... BUT was able to wrangle, with help from my TA, an F seat on the 321T. Connected through JFK. Although did get me home 4 hours later and on DL in Y from LAX to SMF

Hard to stay annoyed.

I did this last week but heading the other way. Wanted to avoid DWF returning to NYC from RNO, I contacted EXP desk and rerouted through LAX. Paid F ticket got me paid F on the reroute.

Did AA take down the rule 240 schedule change / IROPS page?

It's been gone for a few days now.

The whole agency booking reference section has been removed from the public site. They don't want us to know what the options are

https://www.aa.com/i18n/agencyPrograms/main.jsp

Agency reference information is now on SalesLink*

◾Already a SalesLink user? Log in and click the agency referece links to learn how to get started.

◾New to SalesLink? Contact your local agency support center to register.

◾Need the latest Travel Notices? Updates are now available on SalesLink prior to log in.
Conditions of carriage is now the only general reference it seems. AAs version of the contact of carriage is not as detailed as other carriers. I'm surprised this is even allowed by DOT

DFW was a mess 6/17. The rebooking centers looked like the last days of Saigon....

aa.com app was fully crashed, by the afternoon (at least for me). People were in lines on phones for hours.

Surpirsed DFW was listed on there....

We've got a thread like this in the AA "pm" forum, but as things AA - US join at the hip, it's probably time to start this, add the wiki and modify as necessary.

I just connected through LGA around 4pm ET without any issues inbound or outbound. From conversations I overheard, it sounded like the power outages earlier today had a greater impact on DL than US/AA.
