American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)
NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread
Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).
13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.
"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)
ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).
Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.
ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.
CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.
As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.
Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier
Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.
Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

This may mean nothing but I checked in a few weeks ago in Miami at the Concierge Key area and after I checked in the person asked me, “just curious, do you have any FFL dining passes in your wallet?” I said I did and they said, “you better use them by the end of April because they are expiring and there will not be any extensions.” I’m not sure what the rationale is for that, but that’s what I was told.

I got my new metal tag for the 757 but the card at the top of the other flap was actually from the md80 tag a few years ago. It had all the md80 stats on the back, not any 757 stats. I guess they accidentally recycled some md80 inserts.
On a non related issue, I know there was always a 75k cap on AA miles for a RT flight but for some strange reason it seems to annoy me more in the LP regime. AA robbed me of almost 35k LPs under that cap on a recent flight.

- Consistency in service levels on airplanes and at airports.
- The current CLT AC mess- online tools to help find SWU availability.

A topic to bring up next week for those of us going to the CK meeting in Dallas. Besides this item, what other areas of suggested improvements should we bring up? Mine are:
- Consistency in service levels on airplanes and at airports.
- The current CLT AC mess- online tools to help find SWU availability.
- Consistency in service levels on airplanes and at airports.
- The current CLT AC mess- online tools to help find SWU availability.
- Easier SWU availability for CK (at time of booking)
- Similar to United GS... 1) Saver award companion ticket when paired with paid business class, and/or 2) pull saver awards from a different bucket to provide additional award inventory for CK
I'm less focused on service levels and PDB's, as those are 1) systemwide issues not really focused on CK, and 2) those involve unions, and implementing change can be difficult (not saying we shouldn't bring it up, but expectations of change are lower).
However, the ticket-related items (i.e. FFD passes, SWU's, award availability) are things they could fix with fewer hurdles.

Thanks for carrying the torch for those of us who aren't attending. I know they can't give us everything we want, but...

So I flew the oasis seats last night for the first time. They were terrible. They have no padding at l. I emailed CK about them. They emailed me back and I received a phone call about them. I will say all this was done within 8 hours.
I was told that the more people who complain about them and let AA Know they will do something about it. They kept saying if concierge key members complain it will certainly help. They have received several complaints about them.

This is something that annoys me as well - if spend the $ why not get the credit. Tempted to just book outgoing and return on different itineraries.

While difficult to implement, I think they need to know how airport service is night and day to onboard service. CKs are treated with care and smiles on the ground, but on the planes, it's the same surly (or indifferent) service as always. They need to (like United did) implement a service training class that teaches the FAs how to be more hospitable and less confrontative.
Also, who is going and what time are you going? It's like 5 hour window so wasn't sure when the best time to go is.

I was told they are coming out with an agenda this week. Giving that it's Friday, I am expecting an email today, or early next week. They have had tours of their headquarters in the past, but with in these waning days of COVID?

I just got that "agenda" for the event on Thursday. It's basically nothing, ha! Just a five-hour window of time. Maybe we should coordinate to visit around the same time? Who else is going? Can you add your name to this list? Im thinking of going around 4pm, but will adjust if we all want to try to arrive together.
