American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

1) I've not really experienced any CK service at LHR. I think you mean T3, which is where AA comes in.

2) Same. I've not experienced much CK attention at all. I was offered a cart from the lounge to the gate, and early boarding, but the latter didn't materialize.

It's possible with a tight connection, they might look after you better. I don't transit at LHR, so may not be the best person to ask.

Just a few days ago, I landed at a remote terminal where people need to take a bus to the main building - CK had someone waiting for me at the gate and provided me a private car to drive me to main building.

AA has nothing to do with either LHR T-2 or T-5, so no, they won't do anything for CK in that instance.

For AA operated flights, it is a specified benefit CK boards ahead of almost everyone else (other than the few Five Star, a few VIP and special needs passengers).

See the Wikiposts at the top,of the page for a listing of CK benefits.

Had an SUV transfer between two C gates at DFW. I tried to politely decline but the CK rep seemed so crestfallen I accepted.

sorry - that was a typo and I meant T3>T5, not sure if that matters.

I have been expecting CK status for 2017 thanks to a corporate nomination. I haven't yet received a welcome email or kit, and the website and app still show that I am EXP. But yesterday the friendly LAX Admirals Club agent who checked me in to the club said, "Thank you for your Concierge Key status." I guess it's official!

Somewhat agree with ya. If you're connecting to/from an AA flight out of T3, CK will sometimes receive a private transfer to the other terminal, but never (that i know of) from the other terminal to satellite gates. I've had a transfer from T5>T3 and it is extremely welcome rather than getting on the cramped LHR bus that always seems to have air as stale as a ERJ in the south during pushback in the summer.

The last two times I flew through LHR into T-3 with a connection I was driven to T-5 in a Concierge Key Van ( both times in 2016)

The interesting part of my email is in the boilerplate at the bottom:

"Current Executive Platinum members who receive ConciergeKey membership do not receive additional Systemwide Upgrades associated with Executive Platinum status."

It seems like some people are getting the SWUs. Did anyone who got the email get the same message?

Last year, I got the upgrades and I suspect that I was a corporate nominee since my welcome package (card and luggage tags) were sent to my corporate travel office rather than to me directly.

I've actually experienced quite consistent CK service at LHR. Almost every time I transit LHR, often with the CK staff greeting me at plane side, and when I'm moving from 2-5, I've gotten a Mercedes Van downstairs that they put me on. I often have tight LHR connections, so YMMV.

Thats true. Also their role in this case is to wait around for a while and then look after you. In my experience they are disappointed if they have been waiting around for nothing. So, it's best to smile, thank them, and accept the kind offer.

You don't get SWUs with CK status; you may see the net additions if you have hit a milestone of additional 50K EQM above certain threshold. My experience is that I got 2 SWUs at the 150K EQM mark and another 2 at the 200K EQM mark.
