American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

Aluminum is one of the most recycled metals man uses, and almost a third of all aluminum is used by the transportation industry. I dont know for a fact, but I think it would be a safe bet that any piece of aluminum you pick up probably contains at least a little bit of a former airplane in it.

the ck bag tags, make from the actual skin of an aircraft are FAR cooler IMHO.
Because I use my credit card more often than looking at my bag tags. My point is around branding and loyalty. Sure, the more meaningful or valuable the metal the better!

That's funny, I recently made a reservation on the phone, requested the F fare, and the agent kept trying to save me money. First she said there's a discounted fare for F that's 40 percent less than full F, I said no thanks. Next she said you can upgrade with an SWU, and I said no thanks again. I definitely got the sense that she may have thought I was a little nuts, but she finally acquiesced and gave me the highest fare she could find.

Sadly it appears that I may actually be the ideal CK customer that AA drew up on some whiteboard in Dallas years ago.

Also got renewed! 1.3 million LP 60/40 cc spend vs flying all on premium AA with the exception of a few BA flights. More excited that I can stop checking my account 50 times and day and this forum every hour to get updates 😂😂😂

the same thing happened to me the first year i wanted to requalify for executive platinum. back then i hadnt started to fly paid j yet. i knew there was little no no chance for additional flights in the qualifying year and the rep couldnt quite understand why I wouldnt want the best fare she could offer.

No dice

6 years EXP, never been CK. ORD based. 550k loyalty points, 95% flying. A bunch of domestic Y, 4 J transcons, 2 F trancons, 4 LHR Js and 2 code share Qatar Js to Doha. Already at 130k loyalty points this aa year.

I have AY status too that expires early next year. Losing flagship will be brutal to me. Looks like time to get on the BA wheel for some of this spend.

I thought it was a longish shot but was hopeful.

Just to add color, I was renewed with 1.2mm LPís. Probably 4/5 London flights in J or F. One Doha and one Tokyo, both in J. Mostly full fare domestic first. About 150k LPs for the credit card.

DFW based. Five year CK member, going on year six.

Hope this helps.

The only legitimate color Iíve ever received from CK folks here in Chicago is that premium fares on AA metal are the most important.

I renewed CK the next year on modest LPs (~650K) but 100% of my $45K base fare spend being in paid refundable first on AA domestic flights (all my INTL goes to United for schedule and hard product and to maintain GS there).

I donít think I could go back to the third floor at ORD without pain in my heart each time I passed the second floor! Good luck getting back in via BA!
