American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

I am already at 250k and it isn't the end of April yet.

in person I have had bad service at DFW a few times in the last month or so, otherwise not a single complaint.
If the proactive irrops help isnt there, that immediate answer of the phone, and willingness to break / bend the rules is what really saves your cookies.

Make it a third person at 250k LPs (purely flights).

I already booked my AA flights through mid July.

Totally agree, the CK agents never bat an eye when I ask them to rebook with Delta/UA/AS. Only had one CK agent say, let me look at AA metal first, since that is what AA makes them do first; just to go through the motions in order to book on another airline.

They have to get the green light from ticketing department, and I guess they may have a little check box of "AA flight search have been exhausted" before booking on competitors metal.

It is ridiculous that we have 8 days left...
I had double + the metrics for this qualifying year (not to mention the spend was on higher margin seats by design) that I did the last year, so on one hand I think I have a good shot of being renewed, on the other hand I HATE the idea of them jerking us around like this. No milestones to shoot for is bad enough. My last few flights Ive already made as award travel. I could easily get executive platinum just on credit card spend, and not buy a single ticket for the better part of a decade with the number of miles I have. If they show me the love, I'll give them a level of loyalty thats borderline ridiculous, but this waiting is for the birds.

What did your metrics look like last year?

well see, this is the thing. I got CK with - get this, 300k LPs BUT I also transferred in a bit over 2 million bonvoy points that year to turn into advantage miles.
last year I got about 800k LPs the vast majority from flights with all my travel on american in F or J, the norm for me, but I specifically bought a few transatlantic F as well as picked J tickets based upon the best schedule / connection, not the cheapest cost like I normally would have done, so fewer miles, a good bit higher cost per ticket. I also transferred in almost 5 million bonvoy points.

This month I'll break 200k LPs

I'm in Tampa, so there arent many CKs here.

What is the Bonvoy to AA conversion ratio?

I'm holding off on my next two FF LHR flights until I hear back. I'd rather fly BA anyways.

I agree. If I weren't trying to maintain CK, I would generally choose BA F over AA F when flying to LHR. Though the last time I did fly BA F from LHR, the dedicated F security was closed, and I was not a happy camper, as the fast pass lane they sent me to was definitely not as short or quick as the F security normally is when available.

Same here. If no CK, why fight the T3 to T5 transfer mess when I can fly BA from DFW...

It used to be 2.5:1 or as good as about 2.1:1 when they did specials. Now it's 3:1, so if aa charges the same per mile for bonvoy, as it does Citi I was looking at the equivalent of a little over 1 million LPs my first qualifying year and 2.5 million this last year - but I have no idea if that's a reasonable analysis.

Fourth person, but holding off all post May bookings at this point. Two J tickets are already booked with Delta for June now. Need that for lifetime Diamond Medallion anyway.
