American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

I have had odd perks at times, like getting bumped to F when I was in international J - and J wasnt full let alone sold out on at least one occasion, and a car ride at DFW from my inbound flight to the flagship lounge. I assume the eagle score night have something to do with them handing these out...

yeah but have you ever had the gate agent physically block the scanner so you couldnt board till she calls group 1?
I actually did have an experience when I was standing behind the wheelchairs in the other lane, since group 1 was blocked and handed my boarding pass to the agent as she called CK. She deliberately closed the strap on me. I asked if I could go through... she, snarkily flung her head and said, you have to go around and called group 1. That was rude and deliberate.

It's on the boarding pass that I hand you and you STILL have to ask... And haven't heard of the "do not miss" list. I asked about the Eagle scores to a CK agent of mine and she didn't know what I was talking about.
Is the "Eagle Score" real? I've never asked anyone at AA, and frankly, I question if this is a real thing.

so much of what we talk about in this thread is 110% speculation - but in a world where just about everything is black box magic, from the price on fares to who gets the highest status, it wouldnt surprise me int he slightest if it actually exists.

In 2018 and 2019, there were posts about it on The Points Guy, OMAAT, some other points sites and several times here on flyertalk, including posts where forum members claimed they were able to get some rep to tell them their specific score. The system was mentioned to be a version of some Oracle/Seibel customer loyalty software. But, alas, no idea how widely that was used or even if it is still in effect now.

An AA riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma

There are obviously tiers among CKs. People who control (tens) of millions of dollars of corporate travel spend, people who buy J DFW to Asia or Europe 25 times a year, the portfolio managers who run the line item at major AAL shareholders and have dinner with the CEO and CFO every quarter … they get better treatment than a guy who owns a small consultancy and runs a million bucks a year through his Citi Aadvantage card but sweats out ORD to SFO upgrades.

Well, if you're right, I'm definitely none of the above, so AA probably considers me to be one of the low level, Gold tier CK members.

It's funny how so many of you worry about this. Even if you have the highest Eagle Score, you will not receive better service onboard (i.e., same disgusting meals, cheap paper amenity kits, etc.) and AA will not hire a private jet for you when they are 5+ hours delayed due to a mechanical issue or lack of flight crew.

I'm not worried about it...more curious. I am more under the impression it is fiction.

i dont think i have ever seen anyone 'worried' about their eagle score. I do however wish that everything pertaining to my flying with an airline was less black box voodoo secret magic.

I'm so excited not only did I get my CK renewal email today, the email stated I got lifetime CK because I have over 6 million miles. This is the best April Fools day ever!

So it's April... any speculation on how and when the CK nominations will be handled this year? I'm curious if AA will manage CK more on a true membership year basis. Something like this:
- Mid- April: Renewals and new CK members notified (in theory, they could also notify people not getting renewed as well)
- April 30: Existing non-renewed CK's roll off the books
- May 1: New CK's join the program

This feels like a logical way for AA to manage a specific amount of CK's to avoid overloading the system during what otherwise would be an overlap period.

Dear AA CK status members,
Over on the BA board we have been introduced to a new boarding group this week (Group 0 for Gold Guest List) which seems to be a way to try to emulate the AA CK pre-boarding which we all are jealous of (!).
Just wondering if any of you without BA status have flown BA this past week, and if so if you had noticed Group 0 on your BP?

I would love for CK to be its own first group as that would provide much more structure versus common situations now where CKs are called for pre board and then immediately group 1 is called before any CKs can even make their way through the throngs of people to the gate agent.

United even has separate signage and line for global services, at least at several airports where I have noticed it.

I would imagine that BA and AA will eventually work out reciprocity for GGL and CK boarding if possible on AAs Stone Age IT systems.
