American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

There is no more Globalist with CK. That was a promo that ended last year. I spent a lot of time going between AA and Hyatt about this since AA still has it as a perk on their website however, when I called AGAIN saying Hyatt stated it no longer was a perk, they looked deeper and found that, yes. It expired last year. So I said, please take it off the site. You need to earn Globalist now with stays. Dual accrual stays as is. I also got the CC to try to boost up my status this year. I agree, it is the best. You can call Hyatt and see where your status will be as of 3/1. Mine is at Explorist.

Didn't know that about Globalist no longer a perk wit CK. Thank you for that update.

I did notice that the GoH (Guest of Honor) certificate is good into 2025, so does that mean we effectively are keeping our globalist upgrades for up to 7 days for 5 certificates? I've never used one but it seems they work the same way.

2! Haha kidding, I bet a lot!! Yes, Greensboro/High Point, NC.
lots of AA flyers hereÖthe loss of the Admirals Club was a major blow and many of the CKs I know moved their flying to Delta.

really? I havenít heard anything about that? Globalist from CK is one of my favorite benefits. Where did you read that? There has been no announcement, and it was never a temporary or promotional benefit.

Not sure about the 7 day thing with the GoH certs but I just booked 4 nights at the Hyatt Grand Tokyo for my son and was going to apply them. Sad that it won't be at the Globalist level but they did apply to the perks for the Explorist. The main difference I can see is room upgrade, not not to suite or club access. So they do last through 2025 at what ever level you are at. I am crazy using the WoH cc and stays trying to get that globalist back. It is the best program. Too bad they don't have a status challenge for that level.

Agree so when I didn't get my renewal for Globalist mid february I called Hyatt. They said I lost it due to my stays and when I mentioned CK I was told there was no reciprocity. So I had a discussion with the agent who went to a supervisor who said it was just a promotion. I spoke with AA who first told me, be sure you are linked as a preferred airline which they are, So I called Hyatt back and said AA says I should have it and they said it was a promo in 2020 that lasted 3 years, although I got it when I linked my accounts in 2019. So... I went back to AA and they took a deeper dive and said, yes, it was just a promo and ended last year so I said, you have it on your site. You should honor it but that won't happen so I said you need to take it down.

Well, the status match was the only reason I stayed at Hyatt properties over the last three years. It worked out as intended for Hyatt. I frequently stayed in Park Hyatt and Andaz properties over the normal St Regis, Four Seasons etc just because I had globalist.

I assign zero value to obtaining and maintaining hotel loyalty on its own for my business and personal travel. So, back to complete free agency.

Again,,,agree. I am Diamond with Hilton and Plat with Marriott so trying to decide to optimize those. But nothing matches that globalist status even from what I see with my friends who are Ambassador with Marriott. That's why I decided to get the cc with WoH IF I can get credit when getting booked by a travel agent. Sorry to bring y'all down today but now you know,

Agreed. I checked my account and globalist ends Feb 29, 2024. With the new CK announcement coming in April, there is def a window now where CK reciprocal Globalist are going to evaporate on March 1, and the website still does show that "Conciergekey can receive Globalist status". Maybe the key word there is "can" haha. Do we need to use our GoH (Guest of Honor) certificates before Feb 29 to have them count as globalist? This is an important detail for anyone who wants to use them for stays for the next 12 months if we have to apply them in the next 4 days.

We always got our renewal for Globalist before the CK renewal came out. That was when I got concerned in the middle of the month and called. Yes, it does say "can" but what that means, I don't know as I got 2 different answers from AA. Your GoH to go toward the globalist status would have to be used before 2/29 however they can still be used toward whatever status you have but they are still good until 2025. The GoH I applied for my son to use mine in April would give him my explorist benefits which is what I will be March 1st even though I booked for him during my globalist time.

With all this talk about our Globalist status going away, I just checked and the Hyatt website says my Globalist status goes through Feb 2025. Perhaps a glitch?

Globalist isn't going away. It just isn't a reciprocal perk with CK any longer so you must have requalified with stays. Would that be accurate?

Then that is really odd. No cc spend either I would imagine.

What's odd in my case is that it says my Globalist status expires Feb 29 2024, but then in the section that says "your year to date progress", it says "You're on your way to Globalist through February, 2026", which suggests I'm still a Globalist through 2025 perhaps? Not really sure what to make of that.
