American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

Just got an email re: Concierge Key year changing. I wasn't expecting to get extended this year, so was hoping to find out about extensions by the March 15 date, so I can use my loyalty rewards by end of March (Admirals club reward for example). Stated they will announce in April now- assuming this does not affect thee qualifying year and resetting of LP on March 1?

Couldn't wait for March 15th to get here now it's another month to find out!

Does the qualifying calendar change? Do our LP's through March 31 count?

i called the executive liaison office and they didnt even know about the change to the membership year
i called the aadvantage / CK desk and they said they were aware of the change to the membership year, but that as far as they know there is no such thing as a qualifying year for CK. meaning your spend, right up till the time you get nominated for another year is what counts, regardless of what happens to the LP counter.

F me sideways.

I didn't get the email, however I am on the CK status challenge and my metric goes until May 5th so if others are on that challenge, probably won't get the email since it doesn't apply to us.

one thing ive been curious about challenges, when people get them during the same year, is it always the same numbers of LPs required? as in would someone who had a home airport at DFW get the same challenge as someone in guam? Anyone know?

I didn't get the email either, I wonder if that means they aren't considering renewing me despite being more than 1 million LPs mostly on AA business class tickets

Also, in the email posted above, is it clear that the decision for this year is now end of April? or going forward? I really am hoping to know by mid-March as Im holding on booking future travel depending on whether I make it or not! Almost a Diamond for life with Delta so will revert back there if needed. And starting to book spring travel on Delta just in case.

Qualifying year ends next week for this past year/requal. We should still hear by mid-March, or so I was told yesterday by customer service. We will get CK regardless through 4/30 this year then the changes outlined in email go into effect. Next year they won't inform us of renewals until April.

Yes. The status challenge is the metric for everyone in the challenge. It goes by quarter. 250k needed in the 1st 4 months, 350k in the second 4 months and 400k in the 3rd quarter. If you miss the metric, you are out of the challenge AND out of the running for invitation as I was told when I took the AAdevil up on it last year. I know people who missed one of the metrics and has lost their CK. I don't know that they will be reinvited even if they get the million LPs. My 3rd metric ends 5/4. I think I got it early as I know others whose dates were a couple weeks later than my dates but yes, the same requirements.

I also did not get an email, and similar to you I am well above 1 million LPs. I wonder if anyone has seen the date on their account changed to April 30? Mine still shows the March end date.

Wonder what extension of CK date means for World of Hyatt Globalist - mine still shows Feb 29, 2024 expiration and I’ve heard nothing from Hyatt about status after that. This is an example where the AA-Hyatt arrangement caused me to shift most of my hotel stays to Hyatt and even get the Hyatt credit card. Dual accrual plus Globalist status perks plus overall Hyatt seems better program than Marriott where I was previously focused.

From what I recall, we all noticed it a few days ahead of time on the app and then got the email on the same day.
PTI, as in GSO? How many CK’s do you think the GSO area has?
