American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

I dont see a reason to question what he posted. Last years CK event at the DFW GH was all AA. Nothing co-branded, no other focus, just AA and the CK program. If someone who attended says the MC branded event didnt really compare to the purely AA events, I guess I have no reason to doubt that.

I just wanted to highlight these current events have a different feel than the private sit down dinners at Craft LA or Maddison Eleven in NYC that AA had for ConciergeKeys back in the days. The recent CK event, clearly states "presented by AA and Mastercard" and didn't feel as intimate as in the past.

If you could post that, it would be great. My invitation only says this is an exclusive CK event so ergo my confusion. There is just AA mentioned and nothing about Mastercard. TIA

Just to follow up..... got the email preparing us for next week and yes, mastercard is all over it. Hope to meet some people from this forum there. I have red hair, well, strawberry blonde and will be in a black dress.

This event was amazing! So happy to have met astebel and other EP/CK loyalists.

Chef Antonia was wonderful in person. As a long time TopChef / LA Foodie person plus flyertalk junkie, it's a worlds collide for the best intersections of my passions. I really hope there are more of these in the future.

Glad you had a great time! Any discussion of where AA wants to go in the future with CK program? Or where AA wants to market itself?

It was a very nice evening. I can't believe that there only the 2 of us there from this group. I didn't get any indication of what may be in store but didn't ask directly.

Will AA do a renewal push in early December? Or is that now moved to March? Anyone seen any renewals yet?

I havent heard anything yet but when I boarded a flight from PHL to CMH yesterday, I was greeted by a person from CK services whom I had not yet met, and she mentioned that they were looking at Feb to notify people. Not sure if that is official but this came out in conversation as we were chatting before boarding.

We've been told Feb/Mar for renewals and new program additions.

if they are talking about renewals in February, but you have until the end of february to requalify is there any warning at all about being dropped? ie do you get a "you better post 100k LPs pronto if you want to stay CK" notice if you arent going to make the cut?

I think that would be super helpful, if there were a concern rather than dumping people in March when they have already started planning future travel anyway.

Was really positive experience. Perhaps the status culture in London means a bit more?
Having to flag an agent down as a CK doesnt sound very premium.

Do the agents not have CK signs with your last name on them? Would be pretty embarrassing to think they were there for you and then be told youre not the CK passenger theyre there for.

My experience at LHR has been an agent with a large sign that says CK. No names but I think that is because there are many. I have never had an issue finding an agent. You just need to look and identify yourself. I did have an experience with a crowded flight out of SAT yesterday. There was no CK red scarf at the desk so I let the GA know I was CK as it was already getting crowded. He said there were 5 on that flight. Never had that before. I said he was just going to call us my name rather than call for CK because group 1 always crowds in with that announcement. He went through the line of people asking for our names and had us stand aside then called our names when boarding started. I really thought that was well done. I need to let AA know.

The notification came recently that LPs going toward 2024 status will continue to accumulate until the end of March so I don't expect anything to come out sooner than that. When many of us were "let go" last year, there was no warning letter. Just our divorce papers that indicated the CKs who were extended through COVID, AA was back to their "usual" method of invites, whatever that means. I was let go but contacted a few later invited into the challenge that a few of us have. We know we need to meet our metrics to continue our status so the reinvite thing is moot. On one hand, it is nice to know what you NEED to do to retain, on the other hand, it is an incredible feat to obtain and I wonder how many of us on that challenge will make the final metric.

So ended up using up my first flagship first dinning certificate through the loyalty choice benefits; and well worth it, even for a short 2 hour lay over.

Anyone else choosing flagship dinning certificates? Marching towards the 750k loyalty points options.
