American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

Log in and look again under "Your Account"...

The area above the Qualification Wheels will say Enjoy EXP through 1-31-19. The area on the left which shows Elite Status should show CK with a valid through date of 1-31-19. It makes sense, since you can only Qualify for EXP, while CK is invited.

I fully understand what you are saying. Yes, above the qualification wheels it says EXP through 1-31-19 on both the full website and the android app. The difference is on the android app but not the full website it says status CK through 1-31-19. A previous poster (jad6421) said they called in and was told it was a glitch. I'm hoping that the app is correct and the full website is the "glitch".

No email yet. Others on this thread have posted getting CK without receiving the email. I'm going to wait until next week to see how it settles out. If no definitive answer, I'll call or write in to get clarification. In my humble opinion I should get CK; I have done significantly more than I did last year when it comes to EQD's, EQM's; buying all premium fares (mostly intl.) except for 1 cheapo to LAX. I have also increased the spend of my company with AA.

Is it pretty much standard, for int'l arrivals (into the US and lets say other countries/stations that have Ck-trained agents) that you'll be met and assisted? Or is it really only when its a tight connection or delayed arrival? Please share your recent experiences and specific which airports :-)
I am not much of a poster (but avid reader) . . .

Welcome to CK. 2017 has been my first year and to your question, JFK is my home airport and I have never seen a CK rep either on departure or arrival, though they have been helpful over the phone with rescheduling delayed flights. I fly in and out of MAD frequently (16X/year) and on departure, the CK team is always there, very proactive, even consistently calling me the day before departure to remind me about check-in, etc.

On the few domestic flights I've made (all personal in economy) I have been upgraded 75% of the time, and even snagged one tarmac transfer in CLT which was pretty cool.

The real surprise was on returning from a conference this year in HAV, as I was standing by the gate, a CK rep walked up to me, introduced himself and walked me onto the plane. Not something I was expecting at all in of all places Havana!

My first experience as CK was today.

Boarding in GSO started with CK being called. I approached the GA with my Phone (BP) out and she quickly turned to shield the scanner and said "We are only Boarding CKs now." I said i am and then she looked at my BP and nodded. I like not fitting the "standard" and am quite use to it so no worries on my end. Afterall, I probably don't look like a CK. LOL.

Landed in DFW and had a Voice Mail from CK agent who had noticed I was getting in earlier than planned and had already secured an F seat on an earlier flight to my final destination. She said all I needed to do was show up at the gate. I opted to keep my original, but thought it was an nice touch.

The FA on my current flight was asked by another F PAX what Concierge Key was and she said she had never heard of it so wasn't sure. Ha.

So so far so good.

Also, I wasn't clear on the Flagship lounge rules so decided to head over to D to see if I was given a ticket for the Flagship dining. Nope. But it's al good.....

As a CK you get FL access in any class of service - once the refurbished / new FLs open up and apply to the new policies. So at JFK, ORD, MIA, and as of today, LAX - you'd be admitted to the flagship lounge.

Since DFW is a temporary flagship dining facility - the access rules are bit different (they're the old international first class lounge access rules - I believe LHR is the only other one left). I assume you would've received the invitation had you been traveling on a non-North American international itinerary or MEX. Once DFW opens their FL in D, you'll get access to the FL on all AA itineraries (but not the new sitdown flagship dining unless you're on a qualifying 3-class F itinerary).

Should be in your favor. In my case, at least, it was. I did receive the email, however; so, if you did not, I'm not sure if it applies. If your mobile app is showing it, my guess is you were renewed and this glitch applies to you.

You're right jad6421! The uncertainty was killing me, especially not receiving the email so I called in; I have CK through 1-31-19. They did say that emails and documents are slow to go out.

Current CK, also in the boat of waiting to see if i made CK for 2018.

My account shows that I was awarded 2 CK SUs on 10/14/2017. Is that any indicator of CK status for 2018?

I received 4 CK SWEs in 2017 as I kept traveling, so don't believe they are indicative.

Finishing 2017 with over 372,000 EQM, $71k in EQD, domestic and international. Crossed EXP in March '17, 7mm lifetime miles in October.

Biz Extraa spend of staff last year was six figures as well. Told "no" today. Not sure what to say about that.

I am sitting at $53k EQD with 198k EQM on 69 flights. I have been considering signing an Airpass agreement for my firm. I had been waiting for an invite to CK through my own travel, so when I signed up for Airpass ($75k enrollment) I could share another CK membership with my fellow execs. The news I received today (from a reliable AA employee) is that 99% of CK invitations have gone out already. So if you are waiting for that invitation, I hope you are in the 1% left to be invited.

My AA account shows me as CK through 1/31/19, but I’ve not had an email or letter. YMMV.

I never got one. Just one day my app says CK. Never got a card or luggage tags either. Don’t care about that stuff though, just a data point for others.
