American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

This is because non-CKs (including me) are grabbing the TODs so there's little left during the complimentary upgrade window.

You should post that over in the AirPass thread. I'm sure there are folks that would like to know that....

I had sent a note on this a few weeks back. I was told late January/early February since the new earnings year ends in Feb.

Sorry, agree with the confusion expressed by others -- what does this mean exactly? What was not eliminated? Airpass itself or the CK status you received due to being an Airpass member?

One of three things:

1. Their contract ended before the cancellation period began and they got renewed, as was possible.
2. They got the extended CK benefit provided to all.
3. AA extended the window for renewals, which was mentioned as a possibility by an agent to me. She thought they might extend through end of December. 🤷‍♂️

Would definitely be nice if number 3 happened. No evidence of that on my end though, both through a discussion over the phone with them, and on my online account, as the renewal option is still missing.

Great IRROPs from CK desk

With the weather mess, had a good experience with the CK desk during IRROPs. I had a paid ticket, SEA-DFW-DOH-CGK flight today, and by luck, was still salvageable as my flights were delayed, but not cancelled.

My SEA to DFW was delayed, and there is no way to make the Qatar Airways DFW outbound flight.

Called the CK desk with no wait time even with a high call volume day; gave the CK desk agent options, and he was able to rebook on my first choice back on Qatar Airways as an even trade without additional costs. He even looked at Japan routes, Bali, and other options….went above and beyond. The agent overheard cancellation announcement by the PA system at SEA TAC by AA agents, and we didn’t know if my flight was delayed or cancelled. The agent protected me in case the SEA-DFW cancelled tonight, with a flight tomorrow.

I’m thankful for the customer service via CK, made a frustrating day better.

Safe travels everyone, and happy holidays!

Just want to post a shout out to the CLT CK team for helping me earlier this week. I've posted before here that I've found CK service to be more limited at CLT than any other domestic hub, so this was a different and very positive experience, so I want to give a fair/updated review.

I was traveling with a companion, and we had sort of unwittingly booked a 30 minute connection -- we were constrained by not being able to depart until the evening, and it was the only itinerary that could get us to south Florida the same day. We would have landed about 40 minutes before the connection departed, but there was interestingly a go-around on the inbound flight to CLT. According to the pilot on the intercom, ATC didn't give our flight enough space after the flight that landed just in front of us, so after attempting a landing, the engines kicked in, and we gained altitude again to re-circle the airport. In thousands of flights, I've only had a handful of go-arounds, so it was actually sort of neat for me, but it did make our connection from C to A only 28 minutes in the end (13 minutes to beat the T-15 boarding cutoff).

We were met by a pair of agents (the CK rep and a driver). The driver mentioned he's former ATC, and he knew about the go-around on our inbound flight and seemed sort of amused by it. We all chatted during the ride to the next gate, and I got the sense they thought I was crazy for booking a 30 minute connection at CLT, but they were very professional, nice guys, and it really did make the whole experience feel more premium. We truly skipped the terminal -- I've had plenty of car rides from the CK team where they get me to the gate early enough that the next flight isn't actually boarding yet. It was neat to be walked up the steps and just to board from the jetbridge -- we even arrived in plenty of time for a PDB, but the FA decided she wasn't doing PDBs for anyone and was quite vocal about it after she was asked by multiple passengers (a story for another day).

Anyway, in comparison to prior experiences at CLT, the CK team really did a nice job for us this past week.

Nice report. I know a lot of the CLT CK team members since I am CLT based. While I have never needed gate transfer service at CLT, since all my flights either originate or terminate there, they have been quite helpful in IRROP situations.

Sorry for delay in responding to questions....

This is the start of the email I got first week in Dec...

the email goes on to talk about the program...been on Airpass since 2008...

Maybe it is just because of Key? Not sure

Welcome to your new AirPass membership
In addition to fixed-rate fares, travel flexibility and premium seating, you’ll enjoy exclusive benefits including a domestic inflight Wi-Fi subscription, access to travel on partner airlines and so much more.

Here are a few things to enjoy on your next trip:

Did you perhaps renew your membership shortly before November 30th, when the program officially stopped accepting renewals or new members?
