American Airlines ConciergeKeySM / "CK" Program (by invitation only)
(Includes Executive Platinum status and Admirals Club membership)

NOTE: For questions such as "How can I get Concierge Key?" or "This is my spend: will I get CK?" Please refer to the How do I make / making AA Concierge Key / ConciergeKey / CK?thread

Also see AA Concierge Key invitations / renewal for 2019 status (out early 12/2018).

13 Apr 2020: AAdvantage extends CK status is extended automatically until Jan 31, 2022.

"The ConciergeKey Program is an exclusive program that American Airlines has for our very top customers. This is by invitation only and a very exclusive club." (Billy Sanez for AA)

ConciergeKey Services are provided to a select group of VIPs to facilitate travel on AA. The program is offered on an invitation basis only and is targeted at customers who control travel policy for large organizations. Customers who generate a high amount of revenue for AA may also be invited into this program (possibly those who spend upwards of US$60k a year on travel with AA).

Services provided include airport escorts and pre-boarding (seems variable, more likely during OSO?); assistance with flight changes, seat changes, and upgrade requests via their own dedicated telephone line. In addition, there is the ability to communicate directly with ConciergeKey associates via a dedicated email address. ConciergeKeySM representatives will also monitor day of travel of ConciergeKey members and will proactively reroute or rebook travel when necessary. ConciergeKey status allows check-in at First Class counters, as well as access to elite lines through security at certain airports. Miles and copay upgrades with copay waived.

ConciergeKey is now a distinct elite tier, above Executive Platinum. ConciergeKey benefits include membership to the Admirals Club, international miles upgrades with copayment waived, as well as two additional System-Wide Upgrades (SWU's) as part of CK membership.

CK members have access to Flagship Check-in on any flight, and CK will have Flagship Lounge access when flying a OneWorld airline.

As of 1 Jan 2017, Concierge Key members have upgrade requests prioritized over all other tiers: CK members have an upgrade window of (up to) 120 hours (Executive Platinum member's will retain the 100 hour upgrade window). CK members will board ahead of other passengers.

Regarding Concierge Key tier benefits coming in 2017, please see: New Concierge Key Benefits for 2017: New CK Elite Status Tier

Please: do respect members' privacy by refraining from asking for overly personal information and details relating to ConciergeKey membership or nomination. If your question receives no response, consider the member chooses not to reply, as is his/her right.

Boarding Area's AAdvantageGeek's blog shows the card and documents here.

Am I the only one who lacks to understand the purpose of a personal welcome at outstations like NRT? There's no actual benefit from it - at the same time (and for the matter of politeness) I don't want to ignore the staff member who's designated to wait for me to deplane. Even during an IRROP, the only benefit they've provided was handing me over a new boarding pass, so I did not have to walk over to the transfer desk.

My BOS-DCA shuttle flight today has me at #7 for 1 seat. Usually I either clear the morning of the flight or am 1 or 2 at the gate and clear. Not sure if it is CK today or just the end of a big conference, but I'm a little surprised.

I reported the same type of situation (just to support the OP's experience) and was replied with:

With the level of detail provided, what would cause you to believe that that is anything other than just EP members with higher numbers, as designed?

Yea I saw that, but considering I take the same flight every week...

For what it's worth, when I got to the gate I was no longer on the list and my BP wouldn't show on my phone. I asked the agent and was told I was wasn't on the flight at all, which became "I added you to the list, but you don't have a seat," which then shortly had me back in my original seat and #3 on the list. How that happened I couldn't possibly tell you and an explanation wasn't offered.

I am sitting on AA2653 ORD-PDX and there is a CK in first class. Our flight got delayed about 2 hours due to WX. Anyway, from the time he boarded until takeoff he could not shut up about how angry he is. Everyone could hear his story about how he was on AA87 that was supposed to depart at 5:20 but switched to this flight. He got 100k miles for his "inconvenience". He is at the bulkhead seat and put his bible underneath the seat. Feet up on the bulkhead prior to takeoff and fully reclined during takeoff roll. Before that on the tarmac he was complaining about the fact he was going to be served a meal on the 5:20 departure but now he doesn't get one, proceeds to ask an FA do you guys have anything? Water? Cookies? Anything? He scoffed at water. Then he was on the phone with the EXP or CK line when the FA asked him to end his call... blew off the FA and said he was on the phone. Also vehemently tells the person on the phone they have his number and to call him.

Sorry the post is disjointed but trying to paint the picture here of the world's greatest flyers.

Also he plays on his iPad the entire time with the volume on.

Any word if JL's planned acknowledgement of CKs (certain flights) has been activated? I could cross-post on JL site but guessing people here might be more familiar.

Today's flight from ORD had the 3 CK members called by name (mr x or ms. y) to preboard in lieu of the "concierge key members are now welcome to preboard" I thought this was a nice touch. Not sure if it's systemwide or just a rogue GA.

ORD-NRT mid July in F, traveling with my wife and son. JAL rep meets us at the door, says hello to me, than talks with the wife the entire time (more comfortable in Japanese I guess, plus my son and I were busy talking/complaining about the heat to each other). Helps with transit through immigration, fast lane for son and I, Japanese National line for the wife. Assists through customs. Accompanies us all the way out into the terminal and to the private car driver I had arraigned. Very nice personalized service. Asked the wife if the rep said anything about CK as I was curious. Wife has no idea, she is not even too sure what a CK is, she is not into the whole status thing!

My concern is HND. There's no F fast track for immigration, the way there is at NRT. So an assist there is mandatory.

So you were AA-ticketed on JL metal? Revenue or award? Did you make a CK meet and greet request at ORD? PM if you prefer.

It varies by station:

- Sometimes, notably PHL, they will call my cell and preboard me
- Others will call by name on the loudspeaker
- Others just call for CKs
- Sometimes they will escort me from lounge - tarmac - plane
- In some stations like London where the club is a long way from the gate, they will offer to drive you to the gate at final boarding

So as with many AA things, the experience is inconsistent, but good

We have moved 2017 posts asking / discussing achieving AA Concierge Key status to a new thread dedicated to questions about achieving CK, etc. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...er-thread.html.

This thread has been rededicated to CK services and issues pertaining to current Concierge Key members to disambiguate the issues.
