Congrats! Wow $2.66 CPM, is this mainly domestic or intl travel?

Well well, transparency comes to the selection process. If you have the flying and spend, very much worth it. Congrats.

Ironically AA also gives out CK membership to people who fly and spend 10% of what this guy did. The majority of CK members i feel like are granted status through some sort of business connection.

Perhaps I'm math challenged, but I get $54,500 / 145,000 = $0.37 or 37 CPM.

I can tell you that I am above both of those numbers and there's no CK love for me so I don't think there is any transparency.

Ha! Good data point. Definitely it's along the lines of $50K and above for the revenue-CKs, but, as we all know, many different ways to spend $50K and many different ways to earn 150K BIS while doing so.

What percentage of your spend is on AA marketed and operated flights?

145,000 / $54,000 = 2.66 [MP$]

[If 6000 widgets cost $600, I'm paying $0.10 per widget; in reverse, 10 widgets will "buy" $1.00 of currency.]

But the referenced post expressed amazement at spending "$2.66 CPM", incorrect for two reasons

Never really paid too much attention to the CK stuff since I'm nowhere near that level, but surprised to hear the $50k figure. That's like 10 international biz tickets. Not chump change by any means, but given the air of exclusivity and mystique, I presumed that the barriers would be higher than taking one business trip per month.

Very close to 100% and several international J fares as well. I don't know the exact dollar value but I took a quick average over the course of the last few weeks and it should be above $50k and, yes, I took at the tax portion before anyone asks. I also know that 4 of my tickets alone, excluding taxes, make up nearly $18k of that, all AA operated and marketed.

I don't think it is an exact science but I'm also not worried about it either.

Definitely -not- suggesting that $50K annual spend = qualify for CK.
