I'd already booked a flight to make these miles but if you don't have time, take it!

$649 to extend my Gold status...pass.

82 EQMs short of gold at the moment, offered to extend for $399. No thanks, I already have a MR to MCO booked for (coincidentally) $82.

Got an email to renew my Plat for $1,199. LOL.
I have upcoming flights coming up so I will be Plat anyway... but this felt quite annoying given the latest changes to the program. |
I'm glad to see such steep prices - limits the herd.

Im Xplatinum and received offer to go to gold for 399 or plat for 1199. I am about 10 segemtns from qualifying and am currently "grounded" from travel, so will drop down to nothing...opinions?? I am hoping to travel more next year and live in charlotte, but still dont know what to do.

LT PLT with 75 segments YTD. No offer, and is it safe to assume that's end of story (other than flying 45 segments in the next 5 weeks)?

If you're just "hoping" but aren't sure yet, why not hold off until you know more about your travel plans for next year? You have until July 31 to take them up on this offer.

Yes, but it seems as if they are just giving it away. Now, if this is in acknowledgment that I've been EXP for 10 years or so, great. But if you can now buy EXP for $2,499, that's a major devaluation.

You can buy EXP back for $2,499 if you have 85K miles and are already EXP. I took AA up on it last year as I didn't fly until June due to my cancer treatment. This year, I will make it on legit BIS EQM's. So I suppose they just "gave it away" to me. Glad they did...on two-class UDU's for the year I'm 72/73.
