Question

So I see these are on the schedule for December and January. I’ve booked economy awards January 4th flight 813 Mia to Lax. Booked Row 13. Do these planes still have a premium economy? For Sale? It looks we are in that mini cabin, but is that simply MCE?

thanks.

Sold as MCE, but not "simply MCE"

it's a 772, not 77W, that's only on until 12/12

However, the PE type seats (in Row 13) are the same as the 77W, nice recline. I prefer the bulkhead because of the legrest. (Tall people may find the leg rest too short, I"m 5' 11" and it's perfect).

Thanks for this.

Oops. Yeah. I was confused. Appreciate it. So should I be pleased with this row 13? It is like the 77w? Or just regular MCE?

thanks.

upon re-reading it seems this row 13 is PE. So thanks.

Lots of legroom in row 13. The only disadvantage is that you can't watch movies from closing the door to takeoff.

Flying MIA-LAX tomorrow, 77W is only on the 6am flight so it’s A321 torture for me. Why doesn’t MIA get A321T for transcons?

I wonder how it will do, in this limited time, vs. the cancelled BOS service? Seems like a better market than BOS for the configuration (otherwise why put a 77W on the route at times).

The widebody service is in part I think for a/c repositioning. However, I've often wondered if a couple 321Ts would work on this route. Presumably the logistics of having just a couple flights a day on a dedicated a/c as well as more connections going to MIA versus JFK might not support it.

Gary noted that they struggle to fill these planes over the holidays - maybe they should have tried using them on MIA GRU run (if they can go that far) for the holidays.

Looks like 1/06 is the last day for the 777 as well as the 3 class 321. Wonder how many of the 2 class 321 which is most of the frequencies (plus a 737 here and there) have been oasised..

There's a standalone date (2/6) that seems to have the 777 on it, but not before or after. Likelyhood of it staying that way?

LAX-MIA flight 1297 at 1:04 pm on February 3.

I like the PE seats (for coach fares) on the 777 but if it's a high likelihood of swapping to A321T, I'd rather spring for AS J @ $499 one way than risk being Oasised. Not sure how much I can count on the A321T staying the same configuation (with my favorite ciac seat12 C having the infinite legroom).

Oddly enough, on MIA-LAX that day, flight 1228 at 8:45 and flight 878 at 9:45 AM are both 777. But only one 777 LAX-MIA on 2/3. And none the rest of the week it seems.

AA layflat options 2020 Lax to Miami

I’ve been using the 77w and 772 for the last year for all flights. I searched January and couldn’t find a single layflat aircraft running the route. Is this confirmed and permanent for the time being? Really sucks if so. Any insight on why they stopped is appreciated.

This is the only date in February that this flight is a 777, and it doesn't seem to be on before. Any thoughts on whether this isolated date is likely to stay a 777?
