A rare bit of good news from AA! This will definitely be the best domestic product flying at AA, including the A321T.
It's too bad they can't figure out a way to make MIA-LAX all premium equipment and dump some of those P.O.S. 737 and A321S aircraft from the route. Unlike JFK-SFO/LAX you still get a fair mix of unfortunate planes on MIA-LAX so the times for international equipment have to line up to make it interesting.

I know you are saying flights are not loaded past January, but the back to back widebodies look more like a holiday thing than a permanent thing, historically speaking. Of course, I wouldn't mind being proven wrong on this one.

MIA-LAX: 3 widebodies (1 777, 1 77W, 1 763)
LAX-MIA: 5 widebodies (1 777, 1 77W, 3 763)
DFW-LAX: 8 widebodies (7 763, 1 788)
LAX-DFW: 6 widebodies (5 763, 1 788)
So there's a net surplus of 2 763s from DFW that balance out the deficit of 2 763s from MIA.

The 77W is 10 across in back? Makes it risky for a Monday AM departure as I don't think there are any Y seats in the 77W that are as good as 31H on the 772.

Since many (most?) of us have access to MCE, I'd definitely say the 77W is a step up from the 772 as far as the number of good economy seats available, and the quality of those good seats.

Err.... If you're referring to non-MCE economy seats then I'd definitely agree, the 77W has no equivalents to the 772's 31B and 31H. OTOH, 31B and 31H are marketed as MCE seats on the 772, and if we're counting MCE seats too, 16A and 16L on the 77W are the best economy seats I've personally ever sat in on any airliner, on any airline...

Just flew MIA-LAX segment Monday in F on 737 and my back still hurts... those seats are just so uncomfortable and for 5-6 hours? ugh. The big surprise was on my flight out the week before PHX-MIA which was on an A320.. must have been an old US plane, but man what an improvement over the 737. I hope the keep that equipment on the route.

Still not showing F seats. Looking at 20 December the flight looks busy in Business as it is, showing 3 seats left. Maybe F is just full?
I would like to fly this aircraft in F then I've tried them all.
On JFK-MIA the 77W is only selling in F, business cabin not being sold from what I can see.
